OKI "Feniks" Kikinda - News

First League of Republic of Srpska in sitting volleyball
Derventa, March 31st, 2013

From this appearance in Derventa we carry similar impressions as from the first part of the championship. We lost from the host team by 1:3, and we beat a Krajišnik team from Banja Luka with 3:0 in sets. Thus, the matches with these teams have completed with the similar results as in the autumn part.

Let's say it was a Déja vu of the autumn or from Szeged during the last weekend. The difference was that the night preceding the trip was shortened by one hour, so we have slept this part in the van along with the departure at 4 am. Guys from Derventa were good hosts again, so we started our trip home after a nice meals and drinks.

In the game against the first placed team we made advantage of 1:0 in sets and we had a very nice and safe game. Point seriea of hosts at the beginning of the next set surprised us and probably discouraged us, too. In several occasions we arrived that advantage, but there was not enogh strength and determination to prevail. In this second part of the game our play was not at the level of that it could be, it was declining with each set, but still we made our opponent struggled.

We missed a nice chance to get some closer on a score table, because even "just" one another set would already reduce the difference by two points. Thus, we created a chance to third placed team of Borac to come closer to us, and we will try to defent it in the encounter with them in Kikinda on April 18th.

Against KSO "Krajišnik" we played a very different game, but in few moments of the game it seemed that the opponents just does not have too much motivation to fight.
