Visitors to this site know that we prepare and publish the competition plan at the beginning of each half-season, but as a rule, plan and implementation differ. Unfortunately, this time the cause is the retirement of OKI Prijedor's from further competition in the First league Republic Srpska.
On that weekend was held pedestrian marathon on Fruška gora and Belgrade marathon running race. So we met the 1st of these groups at the Iriški venac, where we traditionally stop on our roads to R.Srpska. Familiar environment was teeming with pedestrians, and it was a pleasure to record this massive sports scene over a cup of coffee.
We soon continued our "sitting mission". Overcast and rainy weather did not stop citizens of Banja Luka to show traditional warmth. This time the host was "one-for-all" in the home team, representative Popovic. After a pleasant sleep we came to this school. As it was the first time we recorded a few details in the entrance hall.
Very much like we do it, the referees must prepare for each game, too. There is established order of control of players licences, medical evaluation of players, the numbers on the jerseys.
There is required a control of field, the net and antennas.
Controls necessary equipment : international scoresheet, scoreboard, balls, the flag, ...
... but players lay aside their equipment they don't need during the game.
Then comes determining the completeness of the teams, the toss for the terrain sides and the first service, preheating at the net, greeting the teams and the game can begin.
THe first faced teams of our opponents KSO "Krajišnik" (Banja Luka) and OKI "Maglić" (Foča). That was a battle full of mistakes on both sides and a win of home team by 3:0. Actually, that's how it appears when is viewed from side.
Than followed our game versus Maglić. By some funny misunderstanding it is not recorded, but here is very much sufficient gallery of our game against Krajišnik.
Among the present spectators were our friends from Borac and Laktaši, our direct competitor teams for the table top. They came to greet us, but it is helpfull to record the opponents ;) I would say that they hoped for a little better resistance of their neighbors to us, but this time Feniks proved to be quite stable release. That is why it seems to excerpts from the scoresheets of these games worth a thousand words.
OKI Feniks : OKI Maglić 3:0 (14, 17, 7)
OKI Feniks : KSO "Krajišnik" 3:0 (12, 16, 18)
Coach Dragin had available players for a Feniks team among these guys: Milošev, Đuričin, Vlajkov, Golijanin, Brandić, Mihaljčić and Zavišin.
After the game we were invigorated with friends, we filled the van trunk with wet shirts, with earned points, a friendly smile, Banja Luka kebabs and some nice memories.
Labour Day was comming on the next Thursday and so it caused accelerated editing of the local newspapers, so our report from Banja Luka came late for these editions. Well OK, at least electronic media hasn't such a problem:
