You've probably read already somewhere that "bronze and gold are winnings, but the silver is, in fact, the loss of the gold." This story is perhaps a rare exception to that rule, but you will definitely see here who lost and who won. A lot about it is in the fact that in this final participated 3 teams instead of 4 or 2.
The last round of the First League of the Republic Srpska came down to triple match that will determine final order. Team of "Laktaši" played the last season in the Super League. This is the first time they play the championship game here, and in the last fall we were narrowly defeated in Laktaši. "Borac" failed to beat the "Feniks" in Kikinda until this event. At least it happened three times during this and previous championship, and was always tight (Video - http://www.okifeniks.in.rs/en/video.htm). In the first part the mutual match of our opponents won the "Borac" team.
Since all three teams recorded wins against other teams in the league - the circle is closed. Thus, at the beginning of the day, three teams had the same number of points and the same number of games played.
1. OKI "Feniks" : IOK "Borac" 3:0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:13)
"Borac" had the complete team, they played safe and experienced, as always, but this time we were not up to the task. The absence of Anđelov and Golijanin were a major drawback for our team, but certainly it was not the reason for this unconvincing performance. On the other side sat the entire team in their best issue. Thus, opponents managed to break our current series at home.
2. IOK "Borac" : OKI "Laktaši" 3:1 (26:24, 25:18, 24:26, 25:23).
Tough game in which Laktaši had an advantage nearly untill the halves of all sets, than guys from Banja Luka were arriving and overtaking. In the constantly equalizing results they failed to take advantage of the match ball, which would finish the match in three sets, but than they remained calm in the fourth and finished the job in the best possible way. By this game they fulfilled their ambition with which they came in Kikinda - the direct entry into higher ranking. Congratulations! If, by any chance, Laktaši won this game, we would have to turn a little to deal with the math... but after such an outcome was clear that the winner of the following match wins second place, regardless of the result in sets or points.
3. OKI "Feniks" : OKI "Laktaši" 3:2 (25:18, 19:25, 24:26, 25:21, 15:05)
"Laktaši" knew that their barrage game was already provided regardless of placement, as the "Feniks" in advance withdrew from the competition in the Super League. However, this game was played for the second place and for the glory only! We realigned and provide a very good game. The picture was completely different compared to the first game. Both teams have had their ups and downs, as can be seen from the results in sets. The second one ended in favor of the opponents, mainly due to a series of mistakes that we made at the time when the result was braking. The third went away over the loss of strength and concentration on complaints of refereeing, who have managed to spice up the game with their inconsistency. We managed to "draw out" the general impression on the best way by furious win of the fifth set. I can't remember if we ever won the fifth set so convincing, and we played them ... ("straining up, with his eyes closed, openes a finger by a finger on the left hand fist, then on the right one..."). Ooh, there were more than enough of these.
After this game, we regret that we did not played the first game in such a manner, but we must take it - as is. All in all, we made happy our loyal fans and repay them for the constant support they provided. We thank them from our hearts! One guy from Laktaši even said, "If you there were no audience in the sport hall we would certainly win."
Anyway, they will try to win a duel with Derventa for a return to a higher rank. In the next official Bulletin we learned that Laktaši canceled the barrage, so that next season will find Derventa and Borac in Super League. The fourth position took KSO Krajišnik, and the last place took the team OKI Maglić. OKI Prijedor was fourth after the semi-season, but they withdrew from the competition. All results achieved with this team have been deleted in order of keeping the regularity of the competition.
At the end of the league 2013/14. Feniks has repeated last year's success, and this time we won the recognition for the fair play.

The edition of this news is delayed. Just a few days after this triple match rivers of the Balkans became wild. Just like that and in the blink of eye, life priorities of our friends in R.Srpska, but also in BiH, Croatia and in Serbia have been changed. We sincerely hope that, as far as possible, things will back into something that resembles a normal life until the next autumn, and that sitting volleyball will again become "somewhat important" in their lives, and that the next Championship however, will be played. Will it be with or without us, that is not so important.
