The fifth title of Vojvodina Champs in as many Championships!
Even this is good enough to conclude that the result is perfect, but in order to have a complete picture I will also refer to Saturday, the previous day. It was exhausting, but a resulting perfect weekend: 6 wins in a 6 games. We achieved three wins in Budapest and occupied the top position at the beginning of Bajnokság on Saturday, and with the 3 today's victories we won the Championships of Vojvodina!
However, on Sunday played only Feniks players with disabilities for Sports Society of Disabled "Kikinda". The other Feniks guys came to help the competition host, SDI Kikinda, led by Ivan Šibul and/or they moved into the audience. The guy from audience who is always there, Mr Dragin Sr., the man who does not miss our matches at home.
This year six teams competed, and this time rookies were from Kula.
So, it turns out that in each of the last three years we have one new team in this competition. It's a nice encouragement for this sport, for all the players and organizers. As long as this competition is maintained and growing there is a hope that sitting volleyball will improve and grow in our environment.
However, the game and the results clearly show that guys from Kikinda works the best. With five consecutive Vojvodina Champion titles without losing a set it is easy to say that the Kikinda is "subscribed" to win the Cup and to stand on the top of the winner's podium.
In the match for the 5th place Novi Sad won vs. Subotica, and for the 3rd place Zrenjanin won vs. the team from Kula.
Guys from Kikinda easily took two wins inside their group. In the final versus B.Palanka wasn't different, just like you can discover from the result 2:0 (25:10; 25:4).
The organizer and sponsor of the competition was Sport Association of Disabled of Vojvodina (SSIV), and it's President Mr. Kilibarda, awarded teams with diplomas and trophies.
